The Holocaust Cantata - marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27, 2026)
This 60-minute concert includes Donald McCullough’s moving Holocaust Cantata, Ernest Bloch’s Prayer for cello and piano, and Sophie Webber’s arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G major for cello and SATB choir.

Based on research of original music sung by incarcerated inmates in Holocaust concentration camps, the Holocaust Cantata is an emotional, musical journey through one of the bleakest episodes in human history. A 16-voice SATB ensemble from Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico, cellist Amy Huzjak, and pianist/conductor Maxine Thévenot will co-create a powerful afternoon of music.
